EXPERT CAR ADVICE. SMARTER DECISIONS. BETTER CARS.
Premium Car Sourcing
Choose from three levels of independent, technician-led support. Every package is built around the same principle: we are on the buyer's side.
We are not a dealership trying to sell you one of our cars. We search the wider market based on what is actually right for you.
You are not paying us to send over a few adverts. You are paying for automotive experience, technical knowledge, hours of your time back and protection from making an expensive mistake.
Before You Choose
Premium Sourcing is paid for up front: you choose your package and pay first, then build your vehicle brief. The order below is the order it actually happens in.
All three packages search the same live UK market. What changes is how far we take it — how many vehicles we work up, whether we speak to sellers on your behalf, and how long your search runs.
Payment comes first, before you tell us about the car you are after. It is a single fixed price with nothing to pay later, so it is worth reading what your package includes, and the terms, before you commit.
As soon as you have paid we send you a link to your brief: your budget, how the car will actually be used, what you are already considering, and ten buying priorities you put in your own order. It saves as you go, so you can leave it and come back.
On the £999 service a consultation sits between your brief and its confirmation. Once your brief is in, we will contact you within one working day to arrange it — there is no booking system to work around, we get in touch and agree a time that suits you. Your 8-week search period starts when your brief is confirmed after that call.
We read it properly and come back to you with anything that needs clarifying. If what you are describing is not realistically available at your budget, we say so at this point rather than spending your search proving it.
The clock starts the day we confirm your brief and runs for the period your package includes — 14 days, 30 days, or up to 8 weeks. None of it is spent settling what you are looking for.
Vehicles are released to your account as we find them, each with our findings against the ten points below, and you tell us what you make of each one.
The final decision is always yours. We give you a reasoned recommendation, a target price and the questions to ask; the purchase contract is between you and the seller, and you arrange any viewing yourself.
How your search period is measured, how brief amendments work and how to cancel are covered in the Premium Sourcing terms, which are in draft and currently with a consumer-law professional for review.
Choose Your Package
Important: Alfa Prestige Premium Sourcing is a remote sourcing and advisory service. None of the packages include Alfa Prestige travelling to inspect or test-drive a vehicle. You remain responsible for arranging any final physical inspection, viewing or test drive before purchase.
Every package includes a dedicated search period. It starts the day we review and confirm your brief — not the day you pay — so none of it is spent agreeing what you are looking for.
Alfa Personalised Search
£299
We find the right cars for you.
Dedicated search period
14 days
Once you have chosen your package you complete our detailed brief, telling us exactly what you want from your next car. You can also add any specific requirements or preferences that matter to you, including colour, specification, mileage, age, fuel type, performance, running costs, location and must-have options. We then personally search the live UK market around your exact requirements — so instead of spending hours searching through hundreds of adverts, you receive up to three cars that have already been researched and assessed by someone with genuine automotive experience.
Alfa Signature Sourcing
£499
We find it. We investigate it. We help you secure it.
Dedicated search period
30 days
This includes everything in the £299 Personalised Search, but we go considerably further. Instead of simply finding suitable vehicles, we investigate the strongest options in greater depth and communicate with the seller or dealer on your behalf. The difference is simple: at £299 we find and assess the cars; at £499 we find them, investigate them and speak to the sellers too.
Alfa Private Client
£999
Tell us what you want. We'll handle the search.
Dedicated search period
Up to 8 weeks
This is our flagship service. It is for you if you do not want to spend your evenings searching through AutoTrader, researching engines, checking MOT histories, speaking to dealers and trying to work out whether you are making the right decision. You tell us what you are looking for and we take care of as much of the buying process as we can remotely — the closest thing to having a Master Technician buy your next car for you.
Once your brief is in, we'll contact you within one working day to arrange your consultation.
Start My Private Search*The Private Client search runs for a dedicated sourcing period of up to 8 weeks, and is subject to the agreed buying brief, suitable vehicle availability and fair use. If you substantially change your budget or requirements, a revised brief or new search may be required. Full terms apply.
The Same Standard Every Time
Anyone can forward you an advert. What turns a listing into a recommendation is the work done on it before you ever see it — and that work is the same ten points on every vehicle, at every package level.
It is a written record rather than a set of ticked boxes. A point only counts as done once the findings behind it are written down, and the car we finally recommend cannot be signed off with a point left blank.
Does this car genuinely answer what you told us — the use, the mileage, the seats, the must-haves and the deal-breakers, in the order you ranked them. A car that is excellent in the abstract and wrong for you does not get past this point.
What is being asked, set against comparable cars in the live market. We never record a value verdict without at least one comparable listing behind it.
Every recorded test: failures, advisories, mileage progression and the pattern they make over the years. A car's MOT record is the closest thing to an honest diary it has.
A check on the vehicle itself — write-off records, outstanding finance, stolen markers, recorded mileage discrepancies and keeper history. Included at every package level.
What is actually documented, by whom, and where the gaps are. Stamps in a book, invoices and digital records are not the same thing, and we tell you which you are being offered.
The faults this engine, gearbox and specification are known for at this age and mileage — from trade experience rather than forum folklore — and what they cost to put right.
Who is selling the car and how they are presenting it. On Signature Sourcing (£499) and Private Client (£999) we go further and put the technical questions to them directly; on Personalised Search (£299) this point is what the advert and the public record tell us.
Whether the car really is the trim, engine and options described, and whether that specification matches the one you asked for. Advert copy is not a specification.
Tax, insurance group, realistic economy, service intervals and the wear items due at this mileage — the cost of owning the car, not just buying it.
A clear position: buy, negotiate or walk away, with the reasoning set out. On the car we recommend, this is the point everything above it has to support.
Where the honest answer to a point is that the information does not exist — three years missing from a service record, say — we tell you that plainly, and what it means for the risk you would be taking on.
